To supply newly released and farmers’ preferred varieties with the local niche, KVK established seed processing unit and seed godown under the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, GoI, through a dedicated ICAR project “Creation of seed hubs for increasing indigenous production of pulses in India under the NFSM-PULSES during the year of 2018. In this wise, we conducting seed production, seed processing at on farm as well as off farm at farmers field and seed procurement to meet the seed demand from the farmers.

In Kharif 2021-22 we supplied Redgram seed variety of LRG-52 in 112.54 qt., PRG-176 in 176.83 qt. with total of 289.37 quintals.

In Rabi 2021-22 we produced Bengalgram seed variety-NBeG-49 in 183.38 qt., NBeG-452 in 200.40 qt., NBeG-119 in 11.0 qt., NBeG-47 in 17.84 qt., NBeG-3 in 157.38qt., Greengram seed of VBN-8 in 122.16 qt., Blackgram seed of GBG-1 in 25.40 qtls. Supplied to the farmers.

In summer 2021-22 we produced Greengram of WGG-42 in 10.76 quintals.
